Early Valiant Chrysler/Valiant BONNET/HOOD MOULDINGS "Spears" Valiant Regal, VIP etc. AP6, VC, VE, VF, VG # The best condition 'overall’ one (Let’s call it ‘Hood Moulding A’ so that we can easily ID each one individually) still has all mounting pins intact and just some tiny chrome blistering in spots near bottom but mostly general appearance is very good. Factory Chrysler Part Number A 2794456 $175.00 # ‘Hood Moulding B’ still has both mounting pins, although the front one is only half as high as originally but would still position the moulding in the correct spot. This one looks fine apart from about 5 small chunks of chrome missing on the Left hand side (mainly along the bottom) where it has blistered. Factory Chrysler Part Number A 2794456 $129.00 # ‘Hood Moulding C’ the remaining one with possibly the ‘best overall chrome’ and minimal blistering. Unfortunately this one has about 15. millimetres of just the very end/very low rear section snapped off, just where the rear pin location would’ve started. However it has been professionally re-shaped again at the broken end, and the other pin is completely intact, and with that and the front emblem/mascot bolted down and maybe the rear mounting hole on the bonnet filled, it would look great and I doubt anyone would really notice the difference. Factory Chrysler Part Number A 2794456 $119.00 # ‘Hood Moulding only, D’ I also have 1 only genuine Chrysler/Valiant Hood Moulding only (Doesn’t take an Emblem/Mascot) Factory Chrysler Part Number A 3422152 It is of similar style and measures a little longer, at about 22.0 Inches or 56.0 CM long and has the mounting pins in different spots compared to the other ones above. I suspect it may be from one of our old Chrysler VG or VF V.I.P. limos? But we can’t remember for sure now and we don't have a reference to this particular PN. All 3 pins intact. (It has an extra one as there is no Emblem/Mascot to hold it down to the hood at the front so these use a front pin instead) Some tiny/very small chrome blisters. $124.00 The hood mouldings could be re-chromed at some stage* if desired* These are not available new anywhere and are in big demand now and very scarce. We noticed a used one recently sold on ebay for nearly $500.00 All of ours have been stored away for decades unused. All 4 are genuine Australian Chrysler/Valiant Bonnet/Hood Mouldings and all have a kind of styled narrow ‘groove’ or ‘slot’ on top.
